Sales Assistant (Full Time)
General Purpose: The sales assistant position provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The position supports territory managers and management with a wide variety of administrative tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Researches and creates sales presentations and business reviews, as planned by the territory manager.
Submits internal quote requests and provides formatted quoted information to customers.
Submits sample requests to the picking room requiring significant attention to detail and time sensitivity.
Tracks seasonal year-over-year data for deeper analysis.
Utilize customer’s vendor websites to upload and download required information.
Communicates with internal and external customers via phone, email and sometimes video conference.
Acts as a liaison between territory manager and other internal business units.
Other basic administrative assistant duties as required.
Education and Work Experience:
Associates Degree and 2 years administrative assistant experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
High Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), with ability to rapidly learn new software.
High level of interpersonal skills (including emotional intelligence, communication, and active listening skills).
Attention to detail in researching, creating and proofing work.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Punctuality and reliable attendance during regularly scheduled office hours.
Physical Demands:
Frequently moves office supplies to perform assigned duties.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80%.
